The Maine Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP) was formed in 2002 as the SCWM Behavioral Health Group with the objective of providing local support and direction for access and coordination of services for patients. The partnership is also committed to the development of an improved integrated system of services. The organizations involved in MBHP are Maine Medical Center, MaineHealth, Spurwink, Sweetser, Spring Harbor Hospital, St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Southern Maine Medical Center. MBHP oversees quality, utilization and cost of services managed through its agreement with the MMC Physician Hospital’s Behavioral HealthCare Program.
The program operates in the State under a Utilization Review License (MMCPHO) and a Preferred Provider Certificate (MBHP).
